Storyline

The ballet is based on a legend that speaks of young girls who are turned into swans by Von Rothbart's evil spell, only to revert back to their human form at night.
When Siegfried goes on a hunting trip and meets Odette, the queen of the swan maidens, he learns of their plight and the fact that only a promise of true love and marriage can break the curse. The Teatro EDP Gran Vía, formerly known as the Gran Vía Cinema, is a traditional theatre located in the heart of Madrid's Gran Vía. It has a rich history, having gone through various transformations, starting as a cinema hall in 1944, and then becoming a theatre space between 1947 and 1950.
